How did we get from there to here?

‘There’ was school in Hertfordshire and lessons in Latin, Greek and Chemistry. ‘Here’ is 50 years on and a business which is more geek than Greek but very assuredly at the forefront in its field. Fantastic Fireworks first exploded on to the scene in 1985, a big bang born out of boredom with a day job in journalism and the desire to sow a seed and see it grow. We were among the very first to see the year-round entertainment potential of fireworks.

In those days there were only a handful of UK companies. Today there are more than 200. We have been lucky enough to catch the wave of popularity which has shot fireworks  from being something of a black art to the modern phenomenon we see and hear all around us. But while we are all passionate about our art, the only black we need is the colour of the sky. That and a sea of expectant and excited faces. With a team of nearly 200 professional pyrotechnicians, we are proud to shape and lead the industry, to light up the sky and spread joy. Fantastic Fireworks.  It’s what we do.
